Real Wedding Q & A With Francesa and Daren
What were your biggest concerns about planning a destination wedding?
We were most worried about planning a wedding through email and not physically being able to see our options. We also had a big concern that the resort wouldn’t give us their undivided attention.
What were you stuggling with the most before reaching out to EverAfter Travel?
Prior to finding Jodi, we had no idea what resort to chose for our wedding. There were so many options in the area we were interested and we didn’t know how to narrow down our options.
What were your "must haves" for your destination wedding?
We wanted a place that was authentic to Mexico. We also were looking for an adults only high end resort at a decent price.
What was your favorite part about your destination wedding?
Having the ultimate vacation with all of our family and friends.
Is there anything you would change about your destination wedding?
Sure. I wish I had focused my time and energy less on some things and more on others but at the end of the day I married my person and had the best time so no major regrets.
What is your best piece of advice for other couples just starting to plan their destination wedding?
Try not to stress too much (although that is impossible). Make sure to focus most of your energy on the things most important to you and don’t worry too much about the other stuff. Don’t focus on everyone else’s opinion and stick to what makes you the happiest, it’s your day!
What kind of feedback did you hear from your guests about booking their travel arrangements through EverAfter Travel?
Jodi made sure everyone got the kind of room they wanted (per availability) which everyone was grateful for. Guests also loved how Jodi reminded them to check their passports for expiration, and to submit flight information so that all shuttle services were booked and ready.
How did working with EverAfter Travel make planning your destination wedding easier/better/less stressful?
Working with Jodi was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. She was patient, thoughtful and listened to what we wanted. She helped us find an amazing resort to get married in and then she helped calm our anxiousness when working with the resort wasn't easy. The best part was Jodi handled all travel aspects with our guests which alleviated so much stress for us. All issues regarding booking rooms and transportation to the resort were handled by Jodi. We are extremely grateful we found her and that she worked with us. She even helped us find an amazing tour to do with friends after the wedding and we had a blast!
