Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres Wedding Review: Brittney & Phil
Why did you decide to have a destination wedding?
It’s a chance to have all of our closest family and friends together for an ultimate vacation. Experiences that we’ll never forget!
What were your biggest concerns about planning a destination wedding? What were you struggling with the most before reaching out to EverAfter Travel?
Finding the right resort and the planning process without being at the venue. Also just knowing what all goes into a destination wedding. There were things I wouldn’t even think of that popped up along the way.

What were your "must haves" for your destination wedding? What were the deciding factors for choosing your resort?
I wanted a place that was more modern, kid friendly but not Disney World (lol), and still affordable for our guests. Also, for the actual venue within the resort for the ceremony and reception, I wanted a location that was outside with a great view but not on the actual beach. Majestic’s Sky Gazebo was magical!
Tell me about your wedding e.g. events, venues, special touches, etc. How many guests did you invite to your destination wedding and how many people ended up attending? If you're comfortable sharing, how much was the total cost of your destination wedding celebration (not including things like travel expenses, your dress, etc.)?
We invited around 120, and 65 guests ended up coming, which turned out to be perfect. I wanted to say we spent around $20-25k for the venue, decorations, photo/video - everything but the dress and gifts.

Was there anything you splurged on for your destination wedding and if so, did you feel like it was worth it?
Photographer/videographer - definitely worth it.
Was there anything you tried to save on for your destination wedding and if so, did you feel like it was worth it?
We skipped a private cocktail hour because the lobby bar was accessible for our guests in between ceremony and reception. With an all inclusive resort, it just made sense.

What were the most helpful online websites/social media groups/content creators/YouTube links that helped you during the planning process?
The Facebook group, Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres Brides group was soooooo helpful to review previous bride’s wedding experiences and vendors they used, etc.
Shout out to any wedding vendors you loved e.g. photography, DJ, makeup, etc.
Truly the resort spa staff for makeup/hair and resort DJ killed it!! Our onsite wedding coordinator, Maria, was also an absolute gem.
What kind of feedback did you hear from your guests? This could be about the resort, the wedding, and/or EverAfter Travel.
Everyone said they just had the BEST time.

What advice do you have for other couples planning a destination wedding?
Find a solid travel agent, and ask all the questions. Don’t sweat the small stuff because at the end of the day, if you didn’t have the perfect table centerpiece, you’re not going to remember it. Splurge on the location, DJ/band, and photo/video, because that’s what you WILL remember.
What were your favorite parts about your destination wedding?
Wedding venue and resort staff were AMAZING - so friendly and attentive! And the resort itself and beach were BEAUTIFUL.
Is there anything you would change about your destination wedding?
Not a single thing.

Why did you choose to work with EverAfter Travel for your destination wedding?
Honestly, I just googled “destination wedding travel agent,” and Jodi with EverAfter Travel was one of the first sites! The website was appealing and Jodi was responsive, easy to communicate with, and just made the process easy.
How did working with EverAfter Travel make planning your Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres wedding easier/better/less stressful? Would you recommend EverAfter Travel to other couples planning a destination wedding?
It was one less thing we had to worry about with the planning process to have EverAfter Travel coordinate our guests’ rooms, transportation to/from the airport, and any questions they had regarding the travel process.
