Dreams Playa Mujeres Wedding Review: Rayanne & Matt
Why did you decide to have a destination wedding?
We wanted to get married on the beach and make it a vacation vs just a one day event.
What were your biggest concerns about planning a destination wedding? What were you struggling with the most before reaching out to EverAfter Travel?
Trying to figure it out on our own. Then trying to find someone knowledgeable and personable.
What were your "must haves" for your destination wedding? What were the deciding factors for choosing your resort?
Family friendly, good food, plenty of activities, beach and pool access

Tell me about your wedding e.g. events, venues, special touches, etc. How many guests did you invite to your destination wedding and how many people ended up attending? If you're comfortable sharing, how much was the total cost of your destination wedding celebration (not including things like travel expenses, your dress, etc.)?
Since we didn’t have a bridal party, we had an immediate family dinner the night before our wedding.
We invited 40 people, including kids, and 18 people attended our wedding.
We had personalized maracas made and painted with details of our wedding as gifts to our guests.
Our room was cleaned during our wedding and our wedding coordinator decorated the bed with rose petals. We had breakfast in bed the following morning.

Was there anything you splurged on for your destination wedding and if so, did you feel like it was worth it?
We splurged on booking the master suite ocean view preferred club at the resort. Gave us a larger room where myself (bride), two friends and my mom could get ready the day of. Also made the trip more special with an upgraded suite. The views were amazing too!
Was there anything you tried to save on for your destination wedding and if so, did you feel like it was worth it?
Decorations - we got married on the beach and you could not tell that there was minimal decorations.

What were the most helpful online websites/social media groups/content creators/YouTube links that helped you during the planning process?
Jodi! And also my Pinterest board.
Shout out to any wedding vendors you loved e.g. photography, DJ, makeup, etc.
My hairstylist and makeup artist, Mine, did an incredible job! I was extremely happy at my trial and day of my wedding.
Our wedding coordinator, Michelle N, such a joy to work with and made everything so easy.
Our minister, made our ceremony very personable. She stood behind our family and friends so we were facing everyone. We loved that she had our service memorized and used the prayers and readings we requested.

What kind of feedback did you hear from your guests? This could be about the resort, the wedding, and/or EverAfter Travel.
Everyone really enjoyed the food, the Mexican culture touches with the mariachi band and maracas, and they absolutely loved the minister. They also said the photographer was super positive and fun to work with. They also said Michelle (wedding coordinator) was super sweet.
What advice do you have for other couples planning a destination wedding?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! It’s your wedding day. Do whatever the two of you want and make the planning fun. Don’t worry about what anyone else says or wants.
What were your favorite parts about your destination wedding?
The ease of planning, getting married on the beach with ideal weather, being on vacation while also getting married, nothing fell through the cracks.
Is there anything you would change about your destination wedding?
Nope.

Why did you choose to work with EverAfter Travel for your destination wedding?
Jodi was extremely personable and not pushy. She genuinely wanted to help us.
How did working with EverAfter Travel make planning your Dreams Playa Mujeres wedding easier/better/less stressful? Would you recommend EverAfter Travel to other couples planning a destination wedding?
Yes! Planning a wedding can be a huge undertaking and become so overwhelming. After vetting Jodi and deciding to move forward with her, I never thought wedding planning—let alone destination wedding planning—would be so easy.

Review posted by Rayanne and Matt about their experience:
Jodi is absolutely amazing to work with!
She made planning our destination wedding in Mexico a breeze! She asked all the right questions to help us narrow down what resort we wanted to get married at.
She was extremely helpful to not only us, but our family and friends who celebrated there with us.
We were anything but stressed throughout the entire process. Jodi with EverAfter Travel is by far the best choice for destination weddings!
