Dreams Onyx Wedding Review: Bailey & Gage
Why did you decide to have a destination wedding?
We wanted to get away with our closest friends and family and celebrate someplace beautiful.
What were your biggest concerns about planning a destination wedding? What were you struggling with the most before reaching out to EverAfter Travel?
The biggest concern is not seeing the destination/resort beforehand. Jodi gave us so much great insight and knew what to expect because she had been to the resort before.
What were your "must haves" for your destination wedding? What were the deciding factors for choosing your resort?
We were pretty open to ideas - the hardest part was deciding if we wanted to be able to have kids at our wedding. Gage had a few cousins that weren't 18 yet that we wanted to include. Dreams Onyx/Breathless gave us the opportunity to have best of both worlds. Everyone ended up hanging out at the family friendly side mostly.

Tell me about your wedding e.g. events, venues, special touches, etc. How many guests did you invite to your destination wedding and how many people ended up attending? If you're comfortable sharing, how much was the total cost of your destination wedding celebration (not including things like travel expenses, your dress, etc.)?
We invited about 100 people to our wedding and ended up having 60 which we thought was a great turn out :) Our total wedding bill ended up being around $18,000 and I feel like we did the bare minimum when it came to add ons.
Was there anything you splurged on for your destination wedding and if so, did you feel like it was worth it?
Photography and DJ services! We wanted to make sure we had photos of our day and that we had a dance floor.
Was there anything you tried to save on for your destination wedding and if so, did you feel like it was worth it?
I tried to save on decor since the destination sells itself.
What were the most helpful online websites/social media groups/content creators/YouTube links that helped you during the planning process?
Pinterest and Tik Tok.

What kind of feedback did you hear from your guests? This could be about the resort, the wedding, and/or EverAfter Travel.
This was the best trip ever!!!!!!!!!
What advice do you have for other couples planning a destination wedding?
Go for it and trust the process. Regardless you are in a beautiful place. The imperfections of the day sometimes are the best part and most memorable moments!
What were your favorite parts about your destination wedding?
Being on vacation with my closest friends and family and being able to have more than one day to really be able to connect and hangout with the guests vs one wedding day.
Is there anything you would change about your destination wedding?
I wouldn't change a thing. It ended up raining at our reception but if you ask anyone that made the day that much better! Our guests ended up jumping into the ocean and making it fun.

Why did you choose to work with EverAfter Travel for your destination wedding?
I was referred by a friend and was told she was great to work with (which is true!)
How did working with EverAfter Travel make planning your Dreams Onyx wedding easier/better/less stressful? Would you recommend EverAfter Travel to other couples planning a destination wedding?
Jodi made everything so easy and got everyone to book and get things figured out! We have a crazy group of people. I couldn't believe everyone got everything lined up. That was the hardest part of the whole process. She was great to work with and very prompt in replying to mine and my guests questions.

Review posted by Bailey and Gage about their experience:
Jodi was amazing and extremely helpful for our entire wedding process! From the very first day she helped us pick the perfect venue that fit our needs. She communicated with us and answered every question we had (and we had a lot).
Jodi also relayed all of our concerns and made changes directly with the resort before our arrival. That took a lot of stress off our plates so we could focus on other wedding activities. She coordinated with all 60 of our guests to figure out rooms and transportation. Everything worked flawlessly! Our guests are still saying that this was the best wedding they have been to by far.
Thanks to Jodi's work we were able to truly be present and enjoy every moment of the trip. If you are considering doing a destination wedding, do yourself a favor and get a hold of Jodi. She didn't just plan our wedding; she created the best week of our lives. Can't recommend her enough!
