Current COVID-19 Protocols (subject to change):

-Travelers are NOT required to complete/submit a COVID-19 test prior to arrival in the Dominican Republic at this time, however, taking a pre-travel test is recommended by EverAfter Travel. Airport officials will be performing random rapid, breath COVID-19 tests for passengers upon arrival. Travelers who present a vaccination card and/or a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival will be exempt from random testing.

-Each traveler needs to complete the Electronic Entry and Exit form within 72 hours of departure which combines the Traveler's Health Affidavit, Customs Declaration and International Embarkation/Disembarkation forms. Passengers need to fill out a form for arrival and another one for departure, and the system will generate two QR codes that will be scanned by the authorities at the port of entry and during departure. You will need to print a copy of these QR codes and keep them with you to show as needed through the arrival and departure processes.

-The resort will do a screening and temperature checks upon arrival. All resort staff will be wearing face coverings at all times, and you will be asked to wear a face covering in designated indoor spaces like: the lobby, retail stores, elevators, and waiting areas of common facilities (e.g. spa, beauty salon, restaurants/bars, etc.). Guests will not be required to wear face coverings at the beach, the pool, or in restaurants when actively eating and/or drinking. Some services and amenities at the resorts are being modified based on COVID-19 protocols and occupancy levels e.g. most resorts have a limited number of restaurants open on a rotating basis each night.

-All travelers two years and older returning to the U.S. from an international destination via air are required to show proof of a negative antigen (or PCR) COVID-19 test taken within ONE DAY prior to their return flight to the U.S

-Canadian residents returning to Canada are exempt from mandatory quarantine if they provide proof of full vaccination status and negative test results from a PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your return flight to Canada (children under five years old are exempt from the testing requirement). If you have a connecting flight, the test must be conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your last direct flight to Canada. Travelers may also be required to take a COVID-19 test upon arrival in Canada, if selected.

NOTE: Proof of full vaccination status and negative PCR COVID-19 test results must be uploaded to ArriveCAN; full vaccination means two weeks has passed since the second dose of a two-shot vaccine or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine.
